Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Running to Longs drug store to turn in my film is a core memory of my childhood. When my husband sent me to a local workshop for Mother’s documenting their children it was a full circle moment. It was the first time in months that I felt seen, heard, and connected.
Being behind the lens allows me to let go and just “be”
to document the raw and intimate moments that we hardly
get to have captured.
It's now time to circle back and offer my love of photography and teaching to others who love to capture their family, their daily life and all those moments that feel so fleeting.

• I have been a Bay Area educator for over 17 years. I have spanned from young children as a preschool teacher to teachers in the classroom learning new skills and knowledge. It's just in my bones.
• I REALLY love food. Trying new food is my favorite past-time. It's an obsession. And it might be a dangerous one.
• I love food and live to eat,
Mezcal and tacos are my jam.
• Love to go hiking and explore the outdoors, re-learning how to roller-skate is on my list for the next year.
• Dance parties and movie nights with my family are my stress relief
Our phone cameras make it simple to whip out and take a quick photo for the moment. But using a DSLR on manual mode is a Pandora's box of light, creativity and ever-growing vision. That means your images will be unique to you and the way that you "see" your life.
This workshop is all about the foundations, which you'll learn through hands-on practice, collaboration with other participants, feedback from me (Kati) and examples to help guide you along the way. You'll walk away with all the information you've learned in a PDF as well as some tips for extra practice and to keep you motivated and growing.
